Description

The 303 Zipp Speed Weaponry wheel is engineered for rough roads and rugged weather. The 44mm toroidal rim depth on the tubular & clincher and the 45mm rim depth on the cyclocross help protect this carbon wheel against tire damage and pinch flats while offering a more comfortable and forgiving ride with the 303's high lateral stiffness. The Zipp wheelset is spec'd with the 88/188 hubset and external nipples for ease of service without compromising the wheels aerodynamics. Designed with Zipp's ABLC, VCLC and Carbon Bridge technologies provide the bicyclist with a solid, comfortable, smooth ride.

Technologies:

88/188 Hubset: Utilizes Swiss-made bearings and a larger 17mm diameter axle, these hubs yield smooth rotation, higher load capacity, and improved durability. Manufactured with high-voltage wire EDM technology results in a sub-200g hub that is able to handle greater torque.
ABLC: Aerodynamic Boundary Layer Control refers to the patented dimpled pattern along the rims surface smoothing airflow and improving wheel aerodynamics.
VCLC: Visco-Elastic Constrained Layer Control is a material layer technique that delivers a 10% reduction in vibration reducing fatigue and keeping the wheels on the road.
Carbon Bridge: A technology that adds Kevlar, stitched into 6 bundle co-axial threads, to the rim edge distributing impact forces and increasing lateral stiffness.
